Youth & Family Worker: Charlie Swaine
Saturday Evening Youth Drop-in
We are a small drop-in group that meets every term-time Saturday night. Because we are a drop-in, young people can come and go, as they please, from when we open the doors at 7:30 in the evening until we leave at 9.30. We also hold events throughout the school holidays for any who wish to attend, such as movie nights, and BBQs. We have a strong social media presence and can be found on all the popular social media platforms. We welcome teenagers from all walks of life, regardless of sexuality, gender, race, or religion. If you are looking for a place to go, our doors are open.
We have a group of volunteers who help on a rota based system, on any given Saturday there will be three volunteers, at least one of whom is male. They are made up of the church congregation, and all have been DBS checked.
As well as Saturday nights, we also have a small group on a Sunday morning for any high schoolers who attend church services. During this time we play games and read the bible together.
You can find us in the ground floor of Congleton URC. Go into the car-park, and on your left will be some steps leading down, with an open door. Follow the lights and noise!
