We are a Christian church, with a relaxed but lively worship style. We have come from a variety of church traditions and from none – all are welcome, whether you are already a Christian, or you want come to find out a little more about God.
Congleton United Reformed Church – formerly Congregational – is a non-conformist church community in the reformed tradition with a long history of worship and service to God and the people of Congleton.
Its origins reach back to 1687 when a small group of non-conformists began to meet together for worship in a local house. The church community has been meeting in our current building in Antrobus Street since 1877. Today people continue to gather to share praise and worship of God and as a community we are committed to exploring our faith together, sharing the good news (gospel) of God’s love with others through witness and reaching out to God’s people in the wider community.
Congleton URC aims to be a community of faithful Christians of all ages and from differing backgrounds that grows in faith, understanding and fellowship. All are welcome to join us for worship.
